This can be difficult to translate to a visual medium, where it can be easy for jokes to fall flat but some of the books have been the only books that have made me laugh out loud from reading. His humor is often subtle and relies on a deep understanding of the Discworld setting. I understand that Pratchett's work is very difficult to adapt.
